A Family, a Vocation.

Hacking around the peaceful village of Lastrup together is how it began.

The father encouraged his four sons’ enthusiasm for horses and riding – and did everything he could to support his children with their hobby.

The challenges that arose were usually a direct result of riding every day. As soon as the children were old enough, the ponies had to be transported to little shows. That was a reason for Anton Böckmann to construct his first horse trailer. So he not only made a virtue out of necessity but also a profession out of this virtue! Because of all the enthusiasm for riding, two enterprises were formed: Böckmann Stables and Böckmann Fahrzeugwerke (Vehicle Manu facture). This kept each of his four sons involved with his “hobbyhorse”.

Gilbert stayed with riding and manages the sport and training stables as well as the stallion stables today. And last but not least, Klaus and Roger Böckmann found their calling in the con struction of transport solutions. And even the third generation is successfully competing and is already firm in the saddle.
